HOW YOU CAN HELP

ALL the money you donate goes on supporting the projects we are involved in.

NO spending on wages, offices, administrators in the UK; just experienced volunteers delivering invaluable and sustainable support; so every £1 really counts!

£5 / £10 a month will buy a book for a social work student
£50 will buy a set of  books for a social work student
£650 will cover 50% of the cost of building a house for a family displaced by flooding

So….

  • Why not set up a Standing Order -  regular donations help us plan our work OR
  • Hold a fundraising event  -  raising money and publicising what we do

Plan an event with friends or children:

  • A Coffee and Cake morning or a Supper Party for friends#
  • A Quiz Nite with a Fish and Chips supper
  • A sponsored walk or cycle ride
  • Sell unwanted items on ebay or at a car boot sale
  • If you’re a social worker, get your team involved in giving money or collect relevant textbooks from colleagues along with a donation towards freight costs; social workers and students helping others just like them.

Contact us if you need  any help or information materials to support your event - Link to information booklet  coming soon – and THANK YOU!

How we have helped:

In recent years we’ve:

  • Shipped over 300 social work text books to Malawi
  • Raised £907 for PPE for social workers in the covid pandemic
  • Helped the Malawi Association of Social Workers with a grant of £300 improve their website to provide greater accessibility,
  • Provided £1000 during the floods of 2022 so that social workers could give basic provisions and equipment like food, buckets, clothes, to families in distress
  • Contributed towards the cost of building two new houses (finished cost of £1300 per house) for young families made homeless by the floods
  • Supported volunteers from the UK to travel to Malawi to provide training courses for social workers and students
